She's Potty Trained!

Three down and two to go! Megan did it! She is officially potty trained! We have had no accidents for 2 weeks! Yee Haw!
Megan turned 3 in December and we have been working on this since before Thanksgiving with a bit of regression during the holidays with my back problems and not being able to lift or bend. None the less, we have succeeded. Rather, she has! Great job Megan!
When it comes to potty training I have to say it really lies in the hand of the primary care giver... mommy. Struggling with potty training... when the child is of appropriate understanding and speech! There is no rush though. So my moms feel under pressure to have their child potty trained by two. It can be done. My first daughter was poo poo trained at 18 months and went all the way with potty training three months before she was three. In the midst of getting anew baby brother even.
I think what it comes down to is the determined will of the mother. If you want to potty train you have to be willing to do the work. Being consistent, constantly reminding the child, rewarding for a good job well done (either with praise or a small treat). But this doesn't happen by accident, nor does it happen when you have a busy schedule. To be successful, you really need to commit to being at home. I don't mean never leaving, because they do have to be trained for going out. However, you can't be on the go all day!
I am so excited! All of a sudden she is such a "big girl" now.

Hudson has been potty trained for a while now, but he still wears a diaper at night. Oh well.
