Gift Ideas for Gramma's Birthday

This week is my mother-in-laws birthday. I have always tried to have the kids make a gift for Gramma... but with Mother's Day, Christmas, and Birthdays it is hard to come up with original ideas every year. So I thought I would list the gifts we have made and to help those of you out who need ideas too. If you have any other ideas please email them to me or fill free to comment on the site.

My kids love to do crafts. What kid doesn't right! :0) So here is a list of the gifts we have made over the years:
  • Cement stepping stones for the garden
  • Paintings on little canvases that can be hung on the wall
  • Knit scarves
  • Loom potholders
  • Ceramic hand prints of children (Trout Creek Pottery)
  • Glass Coasters with photos of the children inside
  • Homemade magnets (stones w/ art work, clay, peg designs, etc)
  • Scrap book Calendars
  • Calendars with homemade color pictures
  • Ornaments (w/ and w/o pictures)
  • Homemade Cookie box
  • Sachet (collect rose pedals, dry them, sew a little pouch to hold them, fill it up)
  • Finger knitting bracelets and necklaces
  • Beaded bracelets and necklaces
  • Wooden crafts like bird houses... glue together and paint
  • Painted picture frames with photo inside
Today my children painted there new canvas art work to be displayed at Gramma's house for her birthday! It was a not too messy project that made the kids happy and I am sure will put a grin on Gramma's Face!
